Americardan 5000 and 3000 Series U-Joints
Designed for operation at high misalignment angles up to 15º. Bearing and seal design resists lubrication loss and contamination. Ideal for use in severe atmospheric conditions. Superior materials and tight tolerances have proven to reduce vibration levels in rolling mills.
5000 Series are high torque designs ideal for applications with diameter restrictions such as cold mills. Catalog sizes range from 225 mm to 860 mm swing diameters and peak torque capacities up to 5647 kNm. Higher torque, custom designs are available in excess of 1200 mm swing diameter.
3000 Series are rated for high misalignment angles and are available in catalog sizes from 55 mm to 860 mm swing diameters and peak torque capacities up to 3153 kNm. Higher torque, custom designs are available in excess of 1000 mm swing diameter. Sizes 3440 and larger incorporate a unique inner race design within the bearing package to reduce routine repair costs by approximately 50%.

Ameriflex® Diaphragm Couplings
Since its introduction in 1971, the Ameriflex multiple convoluted diaphragm coupling has continued to set new standards for life and reliability in high performance machinery applications. Today, by using the latest design and manufacturing technology, Ameridrives Couplings is able to offer increased diaphragm coupling performance without compromising this outstanding reliability.
Advanced analysis and manufacturing processes have produced increased ratings without reducing safety factors. The use of the latest finite element analysis methods verified by strain gage and dynamic testing has allowed for a more precise calculation of the Ameriflex diaphragm stresses

Amerigear® Class I Gear
Amerigear Class I High Performance Gear couplings with fully crowned gear teeth are designed for higher torque, higher speed, and higher misalignment to accommodate the increased performance demands of modern, rotating equipment. Standard and custom designs are manufactured to precision tolerances to meet weight, size, temperature, speed and misalignment requirements. Higher torque, higher speed, and higher misalignment requirements; this is the trend in rotating mechanical equipment. Let Ameridrives Couplings, first to apply the Fully Crowned Tooth concept to a gear-type coupling in the early 1950’s, supply a coupling for your needs. Our engineering know-how in tooth design, material and lube selection, and manufacturing techniques stands ready to serve you. We can supply you with one of our conventional Class I high performance designs, or let us custom-design a coupling for your application.

Amerigear® Gear Couplings
Amerigear®.., the first, the finest… flexible coupling with Fully-Crowned Gear Teeth. In contrast with ordinary gear tooth forms, the Amerigear Fully-Crowned Tooth represents the ultimate achievement in the art of gear tooth design, wherein all three working portions of the tooth are crowned.
As a result, the teeth act much like a rocking chair, capable of sliding freely in the axial direction without digging or gouging the internal mating teeth. Because of this design advantage, Amerigear Flexible Couplings with Fully-Crowned Gear Teeth offer operational benefits of maximum load-carrying capacity with minimum size, maximum reliability and long life.

Amerigear® Gear Couplings Metal Labyrinth Seal
Metal Labyrinth Seal
The FAST’S© Coupling was the standard in the metals industry for decades. Ameridrives now offers the labyrinth/metal ring seal option for your coupling needs. This coupling is a part for part “Drop-In” replacement for the FAST’S© coupling.
Labyrinth Seal Gear Couplings
Ameridrives Couplings has introduced a new product, a component part-for-part “drop-in” replacement for FAST’S® coupling.

Amerigear® SL and SF Mill Spindles
SL Series (Leveler type) and SF Series (Flange type) spindles are designed for medium torque mill applications and auxiliary equipment where high misalignment capacity is required and where equipment must be disconnected quickly and/or frequently. Some of the advanced design technology incorporated into more expensive type spindles are made available in these series. Typical applications include drives for auxiliary equipment such as levelers, uncoilers, side trimmers, tension, runout tables, pinch rolls, brush rolls, bridles, flatteners, and scale breakers. SL Spindles can also be used on applications where shaft center-to-center spacing is minimal and where diameters are limited.

Amerigear® SM Mill Spindles
SM Series spindles are custom-designed and used primarily on rolling mill drives ranging from heavy duty, hot reversing roughers to high speed cold mills. The spindles used on these drives are often limited by the minimum roll size, and they must handle high continuous loads. These spindles must also accommodate high misalignment angles due to the constant change in material thickness, roll size, and roll change requirements.
Advanced Gear Design enables Ameridrives to optimize mill spindles for the specific operating conditions. The high angle, largely loaded steel mills benefit with less maintenance, lower cost, increased productivity and minimal failures.
